Above - it is girls vs. boys in a soccer contest - a mechanical kicker tries to score a goal against the soccer goalie that moves randomly to challenge the kicker!
It has been one terrific summer camp season and I want to thank everyone for their trust and support this summer. It was truly an honor to work with your amazing and creative kids and we hope to see many of them back with us this Fall!

It was a summer of many firsts for Waxhaw Kid Coders including our first summer with a sold out all girls camp, our first summer utilizing LEGO® technology for both the younger kids ( 7 - 9 year olds) and for the older kids (10 -13 year olds) and our first summer with well over 100 campers - just to name a few.

Our goal in the summer camps was to combine coding in the virtual world through creating video games in Scratch with coding things in the physical world - robots, cranes, ferris wheels and more!  I think we exceeded our goal and we want to continue to build on that momentum through utilizing some exciting new educational technologies that we are currently testing for the Fall workshops that will make the kids go crazy!

We are not going to give away any clues just yet as to what what we are secretly conjuring up for the Fall but to find out first hand, please come check us out on First Friday in Waxhaw anytime between 5pm and 8pm on September 4, 2015 for our free Open House. We will have some new cool educational technology on display for the kids and the adults too, some more robot demos, refreshments and more.  So if you are in town, stop in and meet us at our upstairs studio at 216 West North Main Street in downtown Waxhaw.
