Overview

All New Scratch 3.0 Game Development and Introduction to Robotics with LEGO WeDo 2.0 and The Micro:Bit

MICRO:BIT INCLUDED WITH EACH REGISTRATION!


This workshop is great for both beginners as well as kids who have experienced Scratch and LEGO® WeDo® in our camps and workshops.  We have so much new material for 2019 that your child can attend ALL of our Scratch / WeDo workshops and camps and always have a new and exciting experience!

Each SESSION consists of four 1 1/2 hour classes.  

Workshops are limited to a maximum of 12 students.

Our popular hands-on workshop for ages 7 - 9 is back this Winter and Spring 2019 at the all new Thales Academy Waxhaw.  Along with the exciting new location, we will offer all new projects and mind-blowing new technologies! 


Created at MIT, Scratch is a colorful coding environment that teaches kids computational thinking and problem-solving and enables children to express their creativity in new and exciting ways.  MIT has just released Scratch 3.0 with new extensions to wireless connections to LEGO® WeDo® 2.0.  Your child will take LEGO® building to a whole new level with programmable motors and sensors that bring projects to life! When you combine Scratch with LEGO® technologies you get a unique interactive learning experience. 


The new Scratch 3.0 also has a new extension that connects via bluetooth to a versatile small micro-computer board called the micro:bit.  Complete with a 5X5 LED display, buttons, an accelerometer, compass and more, kids will learn how to turn their micro:bit into an awesome game controller!  Every child that regist
